The Global Cabaret Music Series is a celebration of the many diverse cultures of the World. Through dance, music and storytelling this performance series provides local and international artists a platform to perform their traditional art in their traditional fashion. Most of this year's Global Cabarets are tied to our Black Arts in America project, exploring what our arts scene in America would look like with the contributions, influences, and aesthetics of Mother Africa and her descendants. Before some of the concerts, we are hosting panel discussions on topics such as Music of Oppression and Survival or Voices of our Ancestors. Some months include dance parties in conjunction with the dialogues. Check them out in the slide show below. We will also be hosting some art exhibits in conjunction with some of the concerts, such as Rod McGaha's Sight and Sound which include his music and his photography.
