Line Breaks Literary Reading Series presents:
Xánath Caraza

Global Education Center's Line Break Literary Reading Series presents renowned poet, Xánath Caraza for a free reading and workshop that takes us on a  journey through the forgotten people of Mexico, many of whom now reside in our community. These community events will provide frequent opportunities for people of diverse heritages to come together for exploration, dialogue and artistic expression and to dig deeper into the Third Root of Mexico.

This community poetry reading will feature renowned poet, Xánath Caraza, and her worked centered around the African legacy in Mexico. The reading will be followed by a Q & A session moderated by Professor Christina Karageorgou-Bastea of Vanderbilt University.

Poet Xánath Caraza guides us through how our history, myths and cultural rituals help to shape our identity and influence our writing. This is a great opportunity for all people of diverse heritages to come together for exploration, dialogue and artistic expression.

We are also on the #10 and #52 bus lines, with a stop directly in front of our main building.
