About Tasneem Grace Tewogbola
Tasneem Grace Tewogbola tells stories of global connection and universoul life lessons. She is the co-founder of Soul Story, an innovative arts enterprise that uses storytelling as a bridge for intercultural connection, joy and education. The eldest daughter of professional storytellers, Tasneem and her siblings were raised on West African and African American tales that taught the values of vision and faith, love and liberation, community and character. She has shared stories at the Frist Center for Visual Arts, in classrooms with Metro Nashville Public Schools, the Nashville Public Library and community gatherings in Nashville, Central New York and Central America. Today, Tasneem designs public programs with the Nashville Public Library’s Civil Rights Room where she has the honor of connecting local history to contemporary and international stories of revolution. She first moved to Nashville in 1999 to work as a reporter at The Tennessean. She and her family returned to Nashville in 2012 – after living in Syracuse, NY and Belize, Central America. She enjoys reading, writing, growing vegetables, running and cooking a mean pot of greens. Tasneem and her husband, Zuberi, are parents of five daughters who love to travel and keep their home in party mode.
