Global Birthday Bash A
Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Father Ryan High School Theater 7 pm $10 adults/$8 seniors & GEC members/$5 children Global Education Center’s annual birthday bash is always a fun time for families! The first thirty minutes feature young children in our many dance and music classes, some of them very beginner and some of them, quite proficient, ranging from hip hop to flamenco to Chinese traditional to South Indian classical dance. Next up will be adult students in some of our classes, such as West African dance, Salsa, various styles of belly dance and more. This relaxed, laid back international event always ends with some grand audience participation, so stick around for the finale!!! A perfect evening for all ages! Performers include: Helios (International Dance Team) under the direction of Alejandro Rivera Little Eagles Chinese Dancers under the direction of Shaolu McLaren Nyama African Dance and Drum under the direction of Charlie Gilbert and Tirra Hargrow Mexican Folkloric Kids under the direction of Analilia Ramirez Contemporary Performance by Marcelis Barrett & Brea Kala Nivedanam, South Indian classical dance under the direction of Monica Cooley Pink Diamonds under the direction of Dana Crowell Tula Tribe Dancers, an ATS Collective Special Guest Artist - Flamenco Dancer, Teresa Children's Latin Dance under the direction of Alejandro Rivera Grupo Balanca Capoeira under the direction of Michael Irvin and, of course, a World Dance Party to end the night! |
