Abuelas, Abuelitas y Nietas

Saturday, October 28, 2017
1 - 2:30 PM at Global South - 2195 Nolensville Road
$5
Global Education Center is excited to bring together Grandmothers, Daughters and Grand Daughters with our visiting senior dancers, Ballet Plata y Oro, from San Antonio. These twelve ladies, aged 62 to 83, will share their love of Mexican folkloric and flamenco dance for multiple generations.

Some of these amazing women, who are of Latino or Hispanic heritage, danced folklorico and/or flamenco in their youth while others are experiencing these dance forms for the first time as participants rather than just audience members. But all of them are having fun sharing their culture and traditions through dance and especially happy to share with younger generations a piece of their history.
