Roots, Rhythm and Rhyme

Back by popular demand, the Global Education Center has retooled  its popular afterschool arts program. Combining elements of its Passport to Understanding school outreach and its Summer Multicultural Arts Camp, Roots, Rhythm and Rhyme  brings the arts of the world to underserved children and youth, incorporating dance, percussion, crafts and poetry from around the world. Due to a loss of funding, this program is not currently being offered on-site at the Global Education Center. However, we are partnering with various schools and after-school providers to bring Roots, Rhythm and Rhyme to area schools.

A new element of our after-school programming is Passport to Fitness, which combines world percussion and Zumbatomics, a form of dance fitness  that introduces students to world dance styles taught through creative games and dance choreography.

Global Education Center offers group classes, private classes and tutoring in Spanish and English. Group classes are $5 per person; private tutoring for $20 per hour.
